Overview
This lovely and very kind returning Smart Family is saying goodbye to their current Smart Sitter, who they love and looking for a new full-time nanny for their two girls, ages 6 (in a week!) and 1. You'll primarily care for the baby while the 6-year-old girl is in school and then have both kids afterschool! They're looking for a person who can assist with light household chores, as well as bottle feeding and meal prep. They're looking for someone is a self-starter and easy going! They're lovely and generous employers so don't delay in applying! The rate is $28-$32/ hour gross for 40 hours/ week guaranteed ($1120 to $1280/week + frequent opportunities for overtime!) + metrocard + two weeks PTO + generous sick time, and healthcare reimbursement! This is a full time and long-term position and they're looking for someone to start ASAP so don't delay!
The Ideal Sitter for this Job
Their former Smart Sitter was very reliable, which they really valued! They're looking for the right balance between warmth and boundaries and being firm when necessary. Because the six-year-old can push sometimes, you'll want to be comfortable being assertive. The family also values independence and someone who is self-starter that feels comfortable making day-to-day decisions!

It's Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm / 9 am to 6 pm
About the Children
Almost 6-year-old Girl - She's a great kid. She's challenging, exciting and so independent. She loves to get up on her own and do things on her own, like get herself dressed and ready. She's taken an online class for coding. She gets very attached to caregivers! 1 year old, girl - normal on the milestones, she's more relaxed. She's not talking yet but does say a few words. She's interested in her older sister but also a little intimidated.
Responsibilities
When you arrive, the 6-year-old will already be at school, and you'll be with the baby. It's nice and quiet in the morning! The baby gets a bottle and goes down for her nap sometime between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM, so you'll get some down time to tidy up, do laundry, or meal prep. When she wakes up, you'll go to the playground, have lunch, and give the baby her third bottle. Around 2 PM, take baby and pick up the eldest girl! When you get back to the house, it's snack time and then homework. After that, you can either go to the library or playground, come home and get the baby dinner and that's pretty much it!
Additional Information
The family is fully vaccinated and they would want a nanny that is fully vaccinated and boosted if applicable.
