How you will make your mark:

• Design, build and maintain highly-automated, secure, production-ready and enterprise-grade container platforms along with associated infrastructure and services utilising cloud native and DevOps practices
• Be responsible for providing technical thought-leadership, best practice advisory and architectural guidance in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs
• Drive, participate and contribute towards the containerisation and DevOps communities and practices within HPE and the wider industry
• Ensure platform security, and implement security best practices
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner

 

About you:

• Must have experience scoping, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting container-based solutions and deploying applications on them.
• Experience deploying and working with Linux and Vmware hypervisors
• Strong understanding of principles of DevOps and Continuous Delivery. Especially in the context of containers (e.g. Kubernetes) and automated IT infrastructure (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
• Preferable to have experience in data management platforms or with big data working (e.g. MapR, Cloudera or Hortonworks).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift and related container platform ecosystems.
• Strong Agile experience working in Scrum and/or Kanban models.
• Solid understanding of Amazon AWS cloud; AWS certification is a plus.

 

• Proven track record of delivering high quality and consistent systems and environments for development teams.
• Strong understanding and experience of release engineering and continuous delivery process.
• Ability to multi-task; working with multiple project teams and wearing multiple hats is a typical practice.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English, German is a strong advantage
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, features and benefits to a software partner

 

Education

• Minimum of Bachelor degree in IT or relevant education. 8+ years of experience in the industry, 4+ years of specific container platform experience
